چکیده

Abstract The concept of external glass FRP composite confinement is a current process for strengthening concrete beams subjected to static loads. End anchorage composites 80 mm width and 90–130 length with different thicknesses (2.4 4.8 mm) have been fixed at the bottom bolts various diameters (6 10 mm). For this purpose, behavior strengthened bolt-end anchoring fiber polymer (BEGFPC) has analyzed. It concluded that load capacity BEGFPC improved by increasing end-anchorage thickness (about 98–188%). In addition, system 6 diameter significantly flexibility beams. contrast, in give high ultimate load, whatever their quantity. Therefore, combining would be best solution ductility retrofitted Depending on number bolts' arrangement, there also an enhancement crack patterns changing from intermediate flexural failure shear

Flexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling

The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...

Long-Term Flexural Behaviors of GFRP Reinforced Concrete Beams Exposed to Accelerated Aging Exposure Conditions

This study investigates the impact of accelerated aging conditions on the long-term flexural behavior and ductility of reinforced concrete (RC) members with glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars (RC-GFRP specimen) and steel bars (RC-steel specimen). A total of thirty six specimens were designed with different amounts of reinforcement with three types of reinforcing bars (i.e., helically wr...

Flexural Behavior of GFRP Tubes Filled with Magnetically Driven Concrete

Experimental investigation of GFRP (glass fiber reinforced polymer) tubes that were filled with magnetically driven concrete was carried out to study the flexural behavior of specimens under bending. Specimens having different cross section and lengths were tested. The test specimens were fabricated by filling magnetically driven concrete into the GFRP tubes and the concrete was vibrated using ...

The Influence of CFRP Anchorage on Achieving Sectional Flexural Capacity of Strengthened Concrete Beams

This research program is intended to verify the influence of using distributed external U-wrap CFRP anchorage to shift the failure mode from overall debonding to sectional flexural failure for concrete beams externally bonded with CFRP sheets. Premature cover delamination and FRP debonding are predominant failure modes in FRP flexural strengthening that may be delayed or prevented by using FRP ...
